Young Woman in Public Affairs
The goal of the Young Woman in Public Affairs (YWPA) Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public and political life by recognizing a young woman’s (age 16-19) commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women.
American Legion "Girl's State" Award
Outstanding Woman Leader
The objective of the OWL Award is to publicly recoginize the contributions of a woman in the areas of community service, outstanding achievement, or special contributions to womankind. The nominee should be a woman in the Grand Traverse Region, not necessarily a Zonta Member, but nominated by a Zonta Member.
Opportunity For Change
We are pleased to offer Zonta Opportunity for Change scholarships each year to female students interested in attending Northwestern Michigan College. Please contact the NMC financial aid office for information on this program.
