Inland Seas

The Zonta Club of Traverse City is offering a scholarship opportunity to a girl who is currently in 9th through 11th grade and who has an interest in aquatic sciences and environmental studies.



"Young Women in Science" is a two-day work shop offered through the Inland Seas Education Association, combining the adventure of sailing with the discovery of Great Lakes science. The course is designed for high school girls entering the 10th through 12th grade.  Students will sail (and spend the night) aboard the schooner Inland Seas and carry out research projects related to the ecology of Lake Michigan. The trip begins and ends in Suttons Bay.
